I’ve heard Orion players tend to be night owls, would you say you fit that description?
A lotta the guys do stay up real late, but I dunno how they do it. I gotta go to bed early cause I have this weird—this thing—I don’t know what it is, but something inside my head keeps making me wake up at, like, 5AM every day and it drives me crazy.
Would you say that’s had some major effects on how you play during games?
It used to, yeah, but I forced myself to stick with a sleeping schedule. If I get bad sleep before a late night game, I’ll be awake enough to play okay, but I get real ticked much more easily, and having Max around definitely doesn’t help.
On the topic of not being too fond of fellow players, are there any teams you dread playing against?
Ugh, Cosmos. Just bout everyone there’s obnoxious except for their goalkeeper, and even then I’m pretty sure it’s cause I barely interact with the guy. Nakama’s a bunch of stuck-ups, and one time Skarra kept kicking water into my face during a game when it was raining and I’m still mad about it.
How do you prepare for a game?
Sleep. As soon as I’m up, I have breakfast and then train. I try to make the most out of the energy I have before it dries up.
And what do you do after a game?
I’ll try to hang out with the guys if we win, but I’m just so drained afterwards. Sometimes when I wake up real early though, I’ll walk to the stadium, and I get to see how quiet all the streets are… And sometimes Coach Black will be in his observatory and he’ll let me hang around. It’s nice.
