You mentioned Toni & your team getting in trouble, what was that about?
Right, that. Toni’s so weird when it comes to soccer games, like—he wants us to win, right? He wants us to get the cool shiny Super League trophies, but he never actually coaches us! He just makes some big inventions to use against the other team—or he wants us to try it out—and it rather: never works, or we get in trouble and have to spend a whole day at the Super League Disciplinary Board! I dunno how our fans feel about us, but we are not popular with those agents. Man, how hard is it to tell some guys to kick a ball around?!
I take it you’re not a fan of Toni’s more ‘scientific way’ of coaching then?
Yeah, but—I mean—I just wish he’d do stuff that didn’t give us all a headache, you know? Or get himself constantly suspended for a week cause then Chuck has t’do everything. I don’t even care he wants to do science stuff on the side, I actually like science—I like the—there’s a… A few ‘science-y’ things I like, y’know?

How do you prepare for a game?
I keep it simple. If I’m prepping at home, I do some stretching then jog through the nearby forest. I’ll bring a soccer ball to dribble along every now and then, but sometimes I’ll kick it a li’l too hard and it’ll go flying off… It’s something I need to work on.
And what do you do after a game?
If I’m not sitting around at the Disciplinary Board again, then I’m hanging out with a couple’a the other guys at this arcade bar we like. Honestly, even when I’m sore I like t’walk around the forest the night after a game. Feels nice, you know?
