Q&A:

How’s it feel to be among one of the biggest goalies in the Super League? You’re right up there with Grenade and De Los Santos!

It feels no different than being an ordinary goalkeeper, I imagine. Though I’m certain my size gives me the advantage from time to time. There are some games where I barely have to move from my position to stop the ball, while I’ve seen other goalkeepers have to throw themselves around to merely swat it away. The Technicali goalkeeper, for example, he is rather tiny in comparison to me.

Bit of a not-so-serious question, but do you ever strain your neck from looking down at the smaller players?

Hoho, no, thankfully not. I’m not out there on the field with the other men, so I have no need to constantly watch the players, and I mostly keep my eyes on the ball anyhow.

Colossus has a great history of having fantastic defense, do you feel like you keep up this legacy?

Ah, hm… I would hope so. It’s hard to measure one’s worth when there’s so little to properly compare yourself too. As you’ve said, Los Santos and Grenade are the only goalkeepers closest to my size, I could always study their skills, but a part of me is afraid that if I do compare myself to them, it will drag me down. Before becoming my team’s main goalkeeper, I used to be a substitute. I was quite good at it. I used to pray to the Gods to give me the opportunity to truly show my potential to our coach, then shortly after, Zelus had left us, and it was only me, and… Ah, my apologies. This is making me a little sad, may we change the subject?

Is there anywhere around Olympii that you like? Any places you’d recommend?

I am thankful we are not surrounded by any ‘tourist trap’ places, as I’ve heard people call those invasive stores before. Many of the nearby shops and restaurants are locally owned, and they’re all very nice. However, there is garden not too far away that’s always opened. The owners take very good care of it. There’s an array of wonderful plants there, along with what remains of ancient statues, columns, and structures. If you want to find a quiet, peaceful area, I cannot recommend it enough.

Since Olympii is located closer to the mountains, is there any advice you’d like to give newcomers before they plan to travel for a home game?

They should bring jackets. When people see recordings of our games, the clear skies and vibrant greenery make it look deceptively warm, but it can get frigid here, and because of how high up we are, the winds can make it worse.

How do you prepare for a game?

I’ll scale the mountains by our stadium until I find a clearing, then, I’ll practice new moves with or against whatever’s around me. Sometimes Achilles, Bemus, or Hermes will catch me before my travels and join me. Sometimes all three will. I appreciate the company.

And what do you do after a game?

There’s a creek I follow that leads to a waterfall. When I reach it, I set aside my belongings and cleanse myself. The cold water helps my muscles. Other times Achilles will beg and plead for me to join him at the spa. If I have the energy for it, I go.
