What originally got you interested in joining Technicali!

I thought it was—so—so I saw a flyer for the try-outs, and I-I remember seeing ‘Tech’ and—and ‘soccer’, so I thought it was an e-sport thing… But then I showed up a—and found out it was actual soccer b—but I felt too bad to leave so I stuck around and… Here I am…?

So you used to play a lot of video games before Technicali?

Yeah, just something I grew up with, and—and—and I like making my own games a lot. I r—really like modding, and coding—even if it’s frustrating—and I’m getting into making music for games! I—I like to mess with V.R. too, and I th-think they have a lot of potential outside of entertainment!

Wow, going from video games to professional soccer! That must’ve been quite a shake up from your usual life style!

It was… The thing—the biggest thing keeping me going is th-the pressure. Just the thought of—of messing up in front of e-everybody makes me shake. Buuut, it’s not th-that bad. I did—I—I needed the exercise, and I like th-the friends I’ve made here. B.B. , Kyle, and J.J. are g-great people.

Speaking of teammates, some of them have told us they like to go to arcade bars from time to time. Do you join them?

I—I try to, just for th—for support, but I’m not good at older games, haha. It get super loud there too… S-sometimes we’ll have game nights at each other’s places, b-but J.J. and I always b-beat everyone. J.J. just mashes buttons, and I’ve had to pla—to—to make myself play a little worse just so someone else can win… Rocky especially gets mad when he loses.

Rocky actually mentioned you in his interview! He said you managed to tamper with Toni’s soccer-simulation and added a ‘laser tag’ mode… Do you do things like that often?

Oh—oh no, no, no! P-please don’t tell Toni I did that! It was just—just a little thing to make the simulation more interesting! I—I just know my way around that sorta stuff and—and all that because of my experience with V.R.

Isn’t it hard to play in that uniform?

U—uhm… Next question?

What do you think about your coach’s inventions that involve V.R. or simulations?

Oooh, I love them, I love them, I love them! Whenever Toni works on them, he’s so focused and doesn’t care when I’m there, and—and—and I get to watch, and see how he programs e-everything, how he accounts for user interactions, the realistic graphics, how v-varied all his projects are, and he lets me get up close to see it, ah! It’s so—so cool!

I just—I wish he’d trust me like he does with Chuck. I—I would love to try out the V.H.S… Ah, I hate t-to say it, but I get a little jealous.

How do you prepare for a game?

I like to use th—the simulations in our stadium whenever we can, b—but I kinda like it when they break because then I get t-to mess with them… But sometimes I g-get stressed at the thought of upcoming games, and I’ll—I’ll do anything but practice. I’ll rush by—b—through other projects and make new ones so I don’t have to think about our matches…

And what do you do after a game?

P-play games, but sometimes I like to draw or write about things if my eyes are hurting. Text my friends too, and m-maybe go out for a treat or something...
